Patriot Energy Group is currently seeking an Accounting Manager to join our team in Burlington, MA. We are searching for a sharp and detailed oriented individual who will lead the core accounting and financial reporting services. Strong financial and analytical skills are required in order to serve as an effective business partner.

Job Description:

• Lead the month end accounting close and partner effectively with Business Managers on all financial activity.
• Perform necessary intra-company accounting and reporting duties, as well as assist in various filings.
• Participate in the response to inquiries from management, auditors and investors.
• Assist with the implementation of new accounting policies and procedures as well as administering existing policies and procedures, participate in the development and completion of special projects as assigned.
  
• Data Mining for various Operational and Accounting reports for metrics reporting.
• Research differences between calculated commissions and actual commissions earned or paid by suppliers, brokers and both internal and external Sales staff.
• Research contract specifics and follow-up with Suppliers to determine adherence to contracts.

Requirements:

• A BS/BA in Accounting.
  
• 5-10 years related experience is required.
  
• Being organized and able to work in an environment that is always changing is an important prerequisite.
• Advanced Excel skills are a must and Crystal Reports would be a plus.
  
• A determination to help get things done.
• Energy background preferred and shared services experience a plus.
